As I predicted, Brett Kavanaugh was Trump’s pick to take Justice Kennedy’s place. I based my prediction on one fact and one fact alone: Of the three that were cited as being in the running, he was the ONLY one who believed that the President should never be investigated. Never mind that this conflicts with the Constitutional ability of Congress to impeach a bad president. He only cares about protecting Trump, and the Constitution be damned.
Brett Kavanaughh is the man who helped George W. Bush argue that Republicans have a greater right to the Presidency than Democrats. He helped kill any attempt at survivors of 9/11 to receive compensation for the government’s lies about the dangers present during the disaster. He has been a staunch advocate of the rights of corporations, and a despiser of the rights of human beings for his entire carear.
Obviously, he was destined for the “greatness” of the once great United States Supreme Court.
While Democrats will point out that he is the worst possible person to be allowed near a federal court bench, the fact is that the Republicans will do what they’ve already done – and what Senator Mitch McConnell said they would do: Confirm Brett Kavanaugh regardless of his past actions, his disdain for the law, the citizens of the nation, or even the Constitution of the United States of America.
Short of a nuclear bomb hitting Washington DC during the next State of the Union address by Trump, you can bet your bottom booties that Brett Kavanaugh will be working overtime for the next 30-40 years to turn the United States of America into the kind of fascist state that gives the cult of Trump wet dreams.
And it couldn’t come at a better time. Trump is being sued. Yes, again.
His chauffeur, Noel Cintron filed a lawsuit against the Trump Organization in the New York state court on Monday morning, seeking compensation for “thousands of hours” of allegedly unpaid overtime.
In the lawsuit, Mr. Cintron says that Mr. Trump gave him a $13,000 raise in 2010, on condition that he give up healthcare insurance that cost $17,000 a year. He drove the Donald and his family until 2016, when the secret service took over.
Thankfully, the soon to be newly minted Justice Kavanaugh doesn’t believe he has the right to sue Mr. Trump for unpaid work. Otherwise, he might be able to hold Trump accountable.
The Cult of Trump (aka the Trumpian party, the Trumpsters, or the Trumpanista’s )
used to be called Republicans. Back in the days of Lincoln they were opposed to slavery. Today, they’ve changed. In the days of Lincoln, Democrats were the Racists. Today, the opposite is true.
I once saw a Republican speak out in favor of putting $500 billion into the nations infrastructure. He even claimed that he would solve the problem of immigration by building a wall that magically made it impossible for anyone to walk around, dig under, or fly over.
Who was that? Oh yeah, Donald Trump.
What happened to that infrastructure? Oh yeah, the money went to the military and he told states they are on their own. The wall? Same thing. His followers? Still praising him like he’s Jesus.
And that’s why I say that Donald Trump isn’t a President… he is a god that demands worship. Every knee in DC must bow and every idiot in Red states must confess that yay, verily, he is lord.
And people wonder why I’m an atheist.
